Owen is not cute!

he's handsome.

At least that's what Madeline tells me everyday. She has really started picking up on the differences between girls and boys. Girls are pretty, and beautiful, and gorgeous, and cute. Boys are handsome. She tells me how she needs girls toys, and girl stickers, but she gets just as excited to recieve car stickers and always wants to play with her collection of balls outside. In some ways she is such a tomboy, but in other ways, she couldn't be more girly.

Owen is indeed handsome - but he has some might cute features too! It's funny how Madeline is becoming aware of so much (cute vs handsome etc). Give them both hugs and kisses from Grandma!

I remember in one of my childhood development classes we learned about how kids M's age are sometimes very deliberate about gender identity and stuff like that. It's so funny and kinda interesting too.
She's so cute...I love that she likes pink and being girly like Aunt Jules! :)
