First Recital!

Photobucket

On May 1st, Madeline had her first dance recital. She did a phenomenal job. She actually danced the entire song, and knew most of the moves. Julia and Zac, and my parents came in town for the weekend. Aunt Anne, Uncle Wen, Hannah, Pappa George, and Granna all came to watch. It was a really special day for Madeline. The dance company hired an outside videographer, so there was no photography during the performance, but we got plenty beforehand. Afterwards, we went for post-recital ice cream at Julia's favourite place, Baskin Robbins (or BR 31 for Julia). I was so proud of Madeline and so happy she has so many wonderful people to support her.

That whole weekend was so much fun. Madeline did a great job at the recital AND at Baskin Robbins - she ate all of her ice cream. And she looked absolutely gorgeous.

Hey what are Fancy Nancy shoes? That caught my eye immediately, that is after the adorable pictures of Madeline and Owen. Looks like you all have had a wonderful and busy month. I love dance recitals at that age. Robin will have to tell you what she did at hers at that age. Ha Ha

Nancy, Fancy Nancy is a character in a series of children's books. She is a little girl who likes to be fancy. She uses big words, so the books are semi-educational. The shoes she is wearing are official Fancy Nancy shoes.
